Privacy Policy

Last updated October 1, 2026

This policy explains what information the VeloPixels website, the VeloPixels Chrome extension and the VeloPixels desktop app handle. The short version: we don't run a server that sees your photos or your Venice API key, and we don't sell or share your data for advertising.

The apps

Stored only on your device

  • Your Venice API key. The extension stores it in your browser's extension storage. The desktop app stores it in Windows Credential Manager. It is only ever sent to Venice AI (api.venice.ai) to perform the edits you ask for.
  • Your settings, saved prompts and logs, such as the selected model, output folder and a local activity log.
  • Your license details: the license key, its activation ID and a random install ID created by the app.

Sent to Venice AI

When you choose to edit a photo, the app sends it to Venice AI together with your prompt and the selected model, directly from your device and using your own API key. The desktop app uploads the image file. The extension sends the web address of the photo you clicked, and Venice downloads the image from that address. Venice returns the edited image, which is saved on your device. VeloPixels does not receive a copy. Venice's handling of this data is described in Venice's privacy policy.

Sent to Lemon Squeezy

To activate and periodically check your license, the app sends your license key, its activation ID and an install name made from the random install ID to Lemon Squeezy's license API (api.lemonsqueezy.com). This is used only to confirm your license is valid and to limit it to the allowed number of devices.

What the apps don't do

  • No analytics, tracking or advertising code.
  • The extension only runs on instagram.com, to add the AI button to photos. It does not read your messages, account details or browsing history.
  • We don't sell, rent or share data with anyone for advertising or credit purposes.

Chrome Web Store

The use of information received from Chrome APIs by the VeloPixels extension adheres to the Chrome Web Store User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements.

Purchases

Purchases are handled by Lemon Squeezy, which acts as the merchant of record. Lemon Squeezy collects your name, email address, billing country and payment details to process the order, calculate tax and send your receipt and license key. We can see your order details (such as name, email and what you bought) in order to provide support and refunds. We never see your full card details. See Lemon Squeezy's privacy policy.

This website

The website is hosted on Cloudflare. We use Cloudflare Web Analytics to count page views. It does not use cookies or collect personal information, so there is no cookie banner. Cloudflare may process technical data such as IP addresses to deliver and protect the site.

Email

If you email us, we keep the conversation so we can help you and refer back to it later. We only use it for support.

Your choices

  • You can remove your Venice API key in the app's settings at any time, and delete it in your Venice account.
  • Uninstalling the extension or the desktop app removes the data stored by that app on your device.
  • You can ask us to access or delete the order and support information we hold about you by emailing support@velopixels.com.

Children

VeloPixels is not directed at children under 13, and we don't knowingly collect their information.

Changes

If we change this policy, we'll update the date at the top of this page.
