Guide

Getting started

From purchase to your first edited photo. Pick the app you bought below.

  • About 10 minutes
  • License key from your receipt email
  • A Venice API key

Chrome Extension

  1. Install. Open the Chrome Web Store link from your receipt email and click Add to Chrome.
  2. Open Settings. Pin VeloPixels from the puzzle-piece Extensions menu, then right-click its icon and choose Options.
  3. Activate your license. In VeloPixels License, paste the key from your receipt email and click Activate.
  4. Connect Venice. Paste your Venice API key, click Test connection, then pick a model. No key yet? Follow the Venice setup guide.
  5. Write a prompt. Type the edit you want, for example Change the sky to a sunrise. Name it and click Save as new to reuse it later. Click Save settings.
  6. Edit a photo. Open instagram.com, hover a photo and click the blue AI button. A badge in the corner shows the progress.
  7. Find the result in your Downloads folder, inside a VeloPixels subfolder (you can rename it in Settings).

Desktop App

  1. Install. Download the installer from your receipt email or your Lemon Squeezy orders page, then follow the Windows install guide.
  2. Activate your license. Open Settings, paste your license key and click Activate.
  3. Connect Venice. Paste your Venice API key and click Save & Test. See the Venice setup guide if you need a key.
  4. Choose an output folder and a model from the live list.
  5. Edit photos. On the Queue tab, type a prompt and drag image files into the window. They are processed one at a time.
  6. Check the results with View Result, or open your output folder. Originals are never overwritten.

Writing good prompts

  • Describe one change at a time: Make the background a white studio wall.
  • Say what should stay the same: Keep the person's face unchanged.
  • Try a different model if the result isn't right. Each model shows its price per edit.

Moving to a new device

Each license works on 2 devices. To move it, click Deactivate in Settings on the old device first, then activate on the new one. For the extension, removing and reinstalling it counts as a new device, so deactivate before you remove it.
